Jackson House Is Out of Sight
Sun Sentinel
January 25, 1985
No more peeking at Michael Jackson's house.
For several years the main tourist attraction in suburban Encino has been the compound of singer Michael Jackson and his family on Hayvenhurst Avenue. As many as 30 fans stand across the street each day, gazing through iron grille gates at a long driveway leading to the residence.
Last week, the Jacksons erected a solid iron gate with no view of what's behind. That hasn't stopped the fans from congregating, ever hopeful of seeing their idol depart in his limousine.

Recognize This Face?
Orange County Register
January 25, 1995
He's already got three Grammys and he's up for five more in March. He's got a couple of multiplatinum records, but that's pocket change compared with the huge hits he's written and produced for Boyz II Men _ 6 million and counting _ Toni Braxton and Bobby Brown. He's on his first solo tour and critics are writing that he blasts headliners Boyz II Men off the stage.
He's helping Michael Jackson with new tracks for his greatest-hits CD. He's simply one of the biggest forces in music at the moment but remains rather anonymous. After years of behind-the-scenes work that brought him riches but little of the public spotlight, Babyface - born Kenny Edmonds - is out on his own...
Lately he's been in the studio with Michael Jackson, working on songs for an upcoming retrospective.
He's finished - he thinks.
"You never know. You're not sure whether the songs that were done are going to end up on the record or if you're going to do a little more work on it," he said...

Release Date of Jackson CD Still a 'Great' Mystery
Orange County Register
January 25, 2000
"That's one of the great mysteries in the world," superproducer Walter Afanasieff reports. "It was supposed to be out last year. The record company is pressuring him, and it's now supposed to be done by summertime, but it's still pretty much a work in progress. Michael Jackson does so much recording, nobody knows when he'll be done. He could end up recording 70 songs."

The Temptations - Emperors of Soul
The Belfast News Letter
January 25, 2001
In 1963, Bryant physically attacked Paul Williams and he left the group. David Ruffin was brought in to replace him. This proved to be a turning point and the quintet finally charted in the States with The Way You Do The Things You Do... Although they continued their good run of hits in 1968, Ruffin became unhappy with the way he was being treated. He felt they should have their name changed to David Ruffin And The Temptations. He was asked to leave...
Problems continued to plague Ruffin. In 1988 he was convicted of cocaine possession. Three years later Kendricks, Ruffin, and Edwards teamed up on a 15-date tour. However just when things were looking up, Ruffin died of a drug overdose. Michael Jackson paid for the funeral but bad luck continued for the ex- Temptations when pallbearer Kendricks was arrested in Detroit, at Ruffin's funeral, for failure to pay child support.
Three years ago a television mini-series, The Temptations, based on Otis Williams book, became a ratings success and won an Emmy bringing the band a whole new generation of fans. "Our career has been laced with some highs and lows but we have kept going," says Williams.
