Tom Mesereau, the legal eagle who saved Michael Jackson from jail in last year's child-sex trial, has moonwalked out of the singer's life and withdrawn from his defense in two civil lawsuits, according to court papers. Mesereau and partner Susan Yu formally removed themselves as Jackson's mouthpieces in separate lawsuits filed against him by his former aides Dieter Wiesner and Marc Schaffel. Mesereau's departure comes less than a week after Jackson lost a court ruling that handed ex-wife Debbie Rowe huge leverage in her child-custody battle with The Gloved One. Attorney Howard King, who represents Wiesner, said Mesereau is better off without Jackson. Jackson "doesn't talk to his lawyers, he doesn't cooperate with them and he doesn't pay them," King said. "Other than that, he's a fantastic client."
