Hey people, read this. I presented myself that I was working for a television station interested in material of michael to get known where the original tapes of the yokohama concert are. I have sent a e-mail to Nippon TV Japan.
Dear Sir/Madame,
We are interested in something your company might have. At the moment our television station has as one of themes we have,
a Michael Jackson theme. At the moment Michael Jackson is recording a new album, and will perform at the World Music Awards in London.
We are going to broadcast that show on november the 29th. Three days ago we aired the Hollywood acces interview with Michael
in the studio recording new songs for his new album.
Today our showbusiness-department had an meeti ng. The idea we have is to, expand the theme, so we want to
broadcast old performances of Michael on stage. When I was working on the project and informed on the internet about the available
recordings I came up with Nippon TV an HBO. We already have contacted HBO for licensing the rights of the Dangerous Bucharest
concert wich was recorded in 1992. I read that Nippon TV had recorded one concert from Michael Jackson. It is the Bad Tour concert
in Yokohama at september 25th 1987. We are interested in licensing the product. We are looking forward to a quick response.
Yours Faithfully
John de Vries
Entertainment Division Manager
then the response was:
Dear John,
Thank you for your inquiry. First of all please allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Ms.Hidemi Sawano and I am in charge of international footage sales at NTV, Tokyo.
Unfortunately, the footage you have requested is not available at the moment.
Do you have a recommendation from Michel Jackson side to use this footage?
Please let me know if so.
Best regards,
Hidemi Sawano (NTVV)
Nippon Television Network Corporation
International Program Sales
Dear Ms. Hidemi Sawano,
Thank you for your response. We have contaced the spokesperson of Michael Jackson, wich is Raymone Bain.
We have yet not talked about specific details of Michael's catalogue regarding to the Bad World Tour in Yokohama.
We are in further talks wit Raymone Bain about the Dangerous world tour in Bucharest 1992.
HBO, Epic and Michael's side have let us know that every side has a part in the rights of that concert.
Epic for the music royalties, Michael ofcourse for his own contribution, and HBO for recording and storing the footage.
And HBO have edited the footage in cooperation with Epic. We will plan this week meetings with Epic, a member of the
Michael Jackson team and HBO.
Mr. Bain has let us know that Michael is now very busy with his new album for 2007, and that Michael is very positive
about promoting plans for his new album. The concert can be products to sell and at the sametime promotion for Michael Jackson.
Because Michael have left Epic there are difficulties to release material where Epic has (partly) some rights.
We want to brake this difficulties in the this week planned meetings with the partys.
And now I come to the meaning of this E-mail. Why should TalpaTelevision play a role in this 'Yokohama' project.
We, Talpa, want to bring all sides together on the table. When we have the meeting we will discuss the Dangerous Bucharest Tour
and the options for the possible release of the Yokohama concert. We don't know wich rights Nippon have or not have.
Would Nippon like to give information about if Nippon about does Nippon have rights or not. And the next step is :If whe have the permission
of Nippon to talk open about possibilities there will be more progress in the project.
The reward for Talpa, would be the rights to televise the concert in the Benelux countries (Holland,Belgium and Luxembourg). |
