Michael Jackson allows Beatles song to be used in diaper commercial
Popstar Michael Jackson has licensed the use of Beatles song ‘All you need is love’ for a series of TV commercials for a diaper company.
Michael Jackson still owns stake in the music publishing company Sony/ATV, which owns the rights to the Beatles’ lucrative back catalog.
But the company’s decision to license ‘All You Need Is Love’ to pharmaceutical and cosmetics firm Proctor & Gamble is a “surprise” to John Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono, because they had always given her advance notice of their intentions in the past.
The song will appear in adverts for the Luvs branded diapers, according to the New York Daily News.
