其实据国外已经看了杂志的人说, <人物>的那篇文章不是负面的, 是篇还可以的文章.
还说了MJ是好父亲,MJ的孩子教育得好什么的.
TARA同志把以下的要点简单翻译两句
I just read the People story and contrary to the CNN Showbiz Tonight piece (which emphasizes the drug addiction angle), it's mostly positive. The article is filled with quotes from Jamie Foster Brown and other people in Las Vegas, Ireland (yes even that bookstore owner who met them last year), Washington, London expressing how "happy, nice, normal and considerate" the children are, how Michael teaches them to be polite. The "negative" comments come mostly from anonymous sources close to the family and Stacy Brown. Raymone and Rev. Jackson are quoted refuting those charges. The writer never comes down on one side or another, though.
Tom Mesereau is quoted in the article saying that he was approached by the Jackson family in 2006 to help with the intervention but chose not participate. I wonder how he'll respond to this. People claims they spoke to Jermaine on July 21, 2007 and he told them he was worried about Michael's health (no quote addresing his concerns about Michael's "addction"). Re: Grace, Jermaine says: "We have to get her away from him."
Overall, I think the average reader (not MJ fans necessarily) comes away with a better impression of Michael. Even with the negative parts, he comes across as human and less of a caricature which is certainly an improvement.
Other details:
- Prince: "He's very good at making people laugh", says a friend; Prince "is polite and looks you in the eye," says a music insider.
- Paris: Jackson's fame "doesn't even seem to faze her, says a pal; "I see Michael in Paris, you can tell he's the father,"; "cordial and friendly," says one friend.
- Blanket: At Disneyland, he "really liked Peter Pan," says a friend.
- Jackson family source: "they are so smart it's incredible. Prince is a hilarious little boy, and Paris is a real girl who likes girly things."
- One longtime associate who recently spent time with Jackson and his children remembers Prince and Paris "were running in and out and Michael was always very attentive to them." Another person who met with Jackson not long ago says the children "were all enjoying themselves and singing Beatles songs together." And when it comes to teaching his kids manners, associates say Jackson is a stickler. At a party this May in England, "he made sure that when they left, all the children went around and said goodbye to everyone," says a music producer.
- Debbie ("who is single, breeds racehorses in Palmdale, Calif.") now sees the children on occasion (her former attorney Iris Joan Finsilver: "her life couldn't be better").
I just came back from the book store, I read the article in People Magazine. I've got to say is FAR LESS of a hit piece than I thought/expected it would be. Its actually an OK article even objective albeit talking to Stacy for one or 2 quotes...
It is MOSTLY about the kids with virtually EVERYONE they talked to saying how cool, smart, happy, well adjusted, funny and VERY close they are to their dad.
They talked to the guy at the Museum in DC who met them, the Zoo people who met them in DC, the Science place in DC they went to, they spoke to a producer in UK as well, quoted from Access Hollywood (last years exclusive), talked to Jack Wishna who met them in Vegas, talked to the people at the movie theater they went to in Ireland as well as the bookstore they went to in Ireland...... Ms. Foster of Sister2Sister magazine (who went with them to Japan).....etc etc ALL these people saw the kids without masks on.... all profess how great the kids are.... the Museum guy said the kids said "cool" a lot and how they were struck by just how NORMAL they all seemed (including Michael that is) and that the kids, the producer in UK said at a party in UK when it was over Michael had the kids say good bye to everyone, the people in DC and even Ireland/UK said how the kids are so close to Michael and how at every point the kids always are getting attention from their dad, they are always asking him questions and jumping on him daddy this and daddy that and Michael is always very attentive to them and each of them remarks at how smart the kids are, how well adjusted and how Michael is bringing them up well. Ms Foster says the kids don't act like they are privileged, that they are playful and funny and Michael is bringing them up well and that the kids tease him too, he will say "Blanket stop that.... Blanket will say ok daddy I'll stop, then he does whatever it was he was doing again to tease his dad". They also say how Michael while in Ireland made his kids porridge every morning etc (that from Access Hollywood)
They do of course point out the kids still wear masks with "sources" saying the kids think its just another game with daddy so they don't mind it..... with a "doctor or whatever those fake analysts they have in tabloids" saying the kids may end up feeling something is wrong with them that's why they have to be covered all the time.... or maybe the kids will feel they always have to fear bla bla bla bla....
They also say the kids travel a lot - yeah duh... (pointing out that in the past 2 years they've lived in 3 continents.... etc etc and by that coming to the conclusion the kids don't have playing friends etc etc... (I say blah, don't they know about Marc Leister's kids and others?) etc etc...
Stacy the @#$%$ Brown then of course says its really Grace who's bringing the kids up and that he thinks she genuinely loves them.... then he goes on in his quote to say that he thinks Michael shouldn't have custody of the kids ahem... WTF? Stacy B.i.tch needs to be whacked.....
the negatives... a total of maybe 2 paragraphs in the whole article...
- the "family" claims (in July that is) that Michael may have a problem with pain pills addiction, Jermaine is named - he told them in July - that he was "worried" about Michael, T-Mez is quoted saying he was approached by the family last year for an intervention but he didn't participate. Then they say that in Vegas the family tried to stage an intervention with 3 of the brothers there in Vegas at Michael's house physically and Janet on the phone but that Michael stormed out really angry/pissed and said he was not on drugs....
The "sources" and "family" blame GRACE for isolating Michael and keeping the family away from Michael, they go on to state how she started as an office administrator (in Michael's company) and now "calls the shots" on everything Michael....
Of course they have the denial from Raymone where he said MJ was out in the West looking a places to bye doing his business
They quote Jessie Jackson (in July) who said he had seen Michael and that MJ was fine, confident, bubbly etc... doing his business
they briefly mention the refinancing saying Michael may need to go back to show biz to get rid of the debt...
All in all a 3 page article crafted with input from almost 7 "reporters UK, Vegas, NY, DC, Miami... ( can you believe that?)
saying Michaels kids are essentially NORMAL doing ALRIGHT with MJ bringing them up well teaching them good manners, they're well adjusted, funny, happy, very smart and close to their dad........ in fact the article has a........ how is it a guy who's been accused/investigated twice and been said about all this things be this other guy who's a good dad and the kids are normal... kind of feel to it....
The "family" and some "source" claim Michael (in the same breadth of being a great and very attentive dad) may be addicted to pain kills and is refusing help and worse Grace - the horrible/hellish - is one with the say and is keeping the family away....
Ta..... there you have it... maybe someone will scan the article.
They have images of MJ and the kids that we've seen from paparazzi, the one of him in Dubai with Blanket (where he was in a hijab), the one of him and Paris on Paris's birthday and the on of him with Paris in UK (where she was in pink) and one where he's dangling Blanket (how could they miss that ha?) and one where Prince is wearing a halloweenish mask.... they didn't have any image of the kids unmasked thank heavens...
