紧随英国“X元素”（The X Factor）的步伐，澳大利亚的最著名电视选秀节目“澳洲偶像”也将在本周末制作一期“迈克尔·杰克逊之夜”（Michael Jackson Night），所有参加该歌唱比赛的参赛者，都须选唱一首流行之王的经典。 节目播出时间是11月2日。 英国“X元素”曾在播出后大力促进了杰克逊精选辑《流行之王》（King Of Pop）在英国的销售，一度令该专辑再度打入排行榜前十名。本周一放榜时，它的最终名次落在了第14名，但已相当可观。 可见“澳洲偶像”也必然促进杰克逊唱片在澳大利亚的销量。 （迈克尔·杰克逊中文网 by Keen 2008年10月28日）
