The DLR is easy from the airport to North Greenwich..much easier than taking a bus.
Grewnich Market is a must to go to。there's a market and lots of shops too!
The DLR is the Docklands Light Railway...and overground service.
Docklands..a business area of town, which is full of resteraunts and bars and very "up market".Docklands has lots of tall buildings, and resembles the New York skyline.Don't forget, this is a short hop accross the Thames,on the DLR if you want to take a look.
You then have to catch the tube to North Greenwich DLR(Docklands Light Railway)station at North Greenwich.
The tube route is given in reverse from North Greenwich to Victoria, basically,as it's the only one I've got, living local.lol.
OK...here we go!...
Your stations on the route are:
North Greenwich(Jubilee Line)
Canary Wharf(Jubilee Line)
Canada Wharf(Jubilee Line)
Bermondsey(Jubilee Line)
London Bridge(Jubilee Line)This stop for the London Eye/London Dungeon
Southwark(Jubilee Line)
Waterloo(Jubilee Line)
Westminster(Jubilee Line)...change here to the DISTRICT LINE)
St.James Park(DISTRICT LINE)
Victoria(DISTRICT LINE).
***Estimated journey time-31 minutes****
IN BUGSBY'S WAY,CHARLTON ....we have a ASDA supermarket...or WALMART(I think that's what you call it in the States)...where you can buy food and all sorts of things you might need during your stay)..this is located in an area called the "RETAIL PARK..or INDUSTRIAL AREA"...both are signposted.
Charlton itself has MARYON WILSON PARK...which has deer and a variety of wildlife. You can also view CHARLTON HOUSE..which has lovely grounds to stroll around and a garden at the back, which holds garden parties during the Summer months. It also has ghosts.....and holds overnight ghost vigils throughout the year!!!
If you go into Greenwich Park have a walk around the lovely flower gardens..we have tame squirrels in the park that would appreciate taking a peanut or two from your hand,as they are quite tame...although I wouldn't try picking one up.(they have rogues and vagabonds among their number)..as one recently took to lying outstretched, eyes closed,on the pavements where folk walk, and as they bent down to see if the little chap was OK,he'd give them a hefty nip and run off!!!!!!
Out the front gate of Greenwich Park you have BLACKHEATH..it has a lovely central church, alone on the heath!..where many celebrities have chosen to tie the knot!!..a lovely place to sit and eat also..there is cricket played on the heath in the Summer,a bandstand, where the occassional concert is played, and people sit around to eat and drink in deck-chairs while they listen to the band...this is a tradition that is featured in many a Victorian painting..and still goes on today. Also kiddies have donkeyrides outside the gate.
There is a cafe here...but be warned..it looks,and smells nice,but is expensive.
Walk accross to Blackheath Village...very bohemian..where you can eat and shop...home to artists and dress-designers..Mary Quant and her husband Jeff Banks opened their first shop here. There is a overground railway station situated in the village..which takes you up to Central London....London Bridge,Waterloo and Charing X stations.
看着看着,脑子就乱了。还是等KEEN针对性地提出中国歌迷想问的问题,再来看她有什么交通方案和旅行建议了。
