September 12, 2009, (Sawf News) - Intriguing post-it notes were found stuck on Michael Jackson's gold framed bathroom mirror that possibly give a glimpse into the singer's drug hazed mind.
The notes were likely seen by the pop-singer shortly before he died of a drug overdose induced cardiac arrest on June 25 at his rented Holmby Hills mansion in California.
The presence of the notes in a cluttered but otherwise opulent bathroom, with two wall mounted chandeliers either side, could be indicative of a desperate struggle by the 50-year-old to keep his mind focused in the run-up to the 50 date residency at O2 Arena in London.
"These notes show that Michael was positive until the last - but also what a mess his mind must have been as he fought to keep it all together towards the end," a Jackson friend told News of the World (NOTW).
A note stuck on the right of the mirror exudes optimism and is a clue that Michael was seeking help for his drug addiction.
"I am so grateful that I am a magnet for miracles."
According to NOTW, the "magnet for miracles" phrase is used in US self-help programs for recovering alcoholics to give them back self-esteem.
In a note stuck at the mirror bottom, Michael was upbeat and optimistic.
"Love, no violence ever!" he wrote in large hand writing:
Below, in smaller hand, he wrote:
"Remember a beautiful future promise of tomorrow."
The note stuck immediately above, however, is a disconcerting reminder to himself:
"Do We Are The World in show".
The reference is to the smash-hit charity single that he co-wrote and recorded with 60-year-old soul legend Lionel Ritchie in 1985 for African famine relief.
The fact that Michael needed a reminder to include one of his most memorable hits in his planned London gig is disturbing.
Equally so, is a blue post-it note with "Call Temperton' scrawled on it.
Rod Temperton, 62, is a British songwriter and producer who co-wrote several Jackson songs including Thriller and Rock With You.
A business card of his manager Dr Tohme Tohme that was found in the bathroom is also confounding.
It is likely Michael had his manager's number on his cell phone, and it would be incomprehensible if he didn't, so what was the need for the business card.
Michael was buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, California, in an evening funeral for close family on September 3.
