Michael Jackson ‘like God’
Tuesday October 6th, 2009 at 5:00 pm by Fametastic
Michael Jackson was like “God”, says his sister La Toya.
The 53-year-old star insists her late brother had divine qualities because of the way he tried to spread peace and love during his life, which was tragically cut short in June.
She said during an appearance on UK TV show ‘Live From Studio Five’: “Michael was very, very special and my mother would always say that, because he was. He was very different. I would always say, ‘He’s not God. But he’s so God-like.’ He really was God-like. He just wanted to spread love and share love and just do everything that was wonderful. When you were around him, you felt that. You felt that energy. It was so different from what you guys really knew. That energy was so powerful and so strong. You liked being around him. You liked that feeling.”
La Toya remains adamant the 50 London concerts her brother was set to perform were ultimately responsible for his death.
She added: “Truthfully, I don’t think he could have done 50 shows. Absolutely not, no. A healthy person couldn’t have done it. A person who is physically fit that was doing this every single day couldn’t have done it. It was just too much for him, it really was.”
Earlier this month, La Toya claimed Michael’s 11-year-old daughter Paris blamed his proposed ‘This Is It’ residency for her father’s demise.
La Toya revealed: “Paris asked me in the hospital, ‘How could this happen? She said, ‘You know, Auntie La Toya, they worked him too hard. He never got the chance to rest, it was just non-stop work.’ I said, ‘You’re kidding,’ and she said, ‘You don’t understand. They just worked him constantly and daddy didn’t want that.’ ”
The ‘Thriller’ singer - who also had sons Prince Michael I, 12, and seven-year-old Prince Michael II, known as ‘Blanket’ - had been rehearsing for his concerts when he died from acute Propofol intoxication on June 25.

The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus - UK Gala Premiere - London - Arrivals & Aftershow
London: 6 October 2009
Flash Alert! Flash Alert! Flash! Flash Alert!
Wrapped in layers and waterproofs I trudged across to the Square at nine thirty to get my spot for the six twenty start of the gala premiere of Terry Gilliam's latest. Terry is always lots of fun when he gets among the fans and is always smiling and happy to sign and pose. The event was without Heath Ledger of course so it was always going to be a bit out of the ordinary. Plenty of fans came to see Johnny Depp and the other male leads and were disappointed to find an appearance was not planned, still many of them stayed as they had come quite a way, as far as Japan in one case and Dover in another. It is well known to one and all that a Leicester Square premiere is always fun. The miserable weather continued all day and cleared up in time for the event proper. Gorgeous female star Lily Cole dressed in a full length white and black gown and heels that made her even taller smiled and signed for fans. She was the big draw for the paps. For the second time in as many days delightful Verne Troyer was in front of my camera (see my film on Pride of Britain awards). Plenty of other celebs too paraded down the red carpet and were happy to be called over to the fanline to the waiting ones.
