Michael Jackson, the legendary Pop Icon’s just released flick ‘This Is It’, has earned around 12 million dollars from the box office till Wednesday. The fate of the film at the box office will be clear only by Friday, when it is expected to attract Michael Jackson’s fans towards theatres in all the countries of the world.
Trade analysts say that there is no doubt that Michael Jackson had many fans world wide and they will ensure that the flick got its due at the box office, but its Wednesday release could prove to be a subliming block. Even Sony did not spend that much of money in its marketing, which it normally does at the time of release of a new movie. The only hope on this front is word of mouth publicity by MJ fans.
Only films which could make profit from a Wednesday release were ‘The Passion of Christ’ in 2004 and ‘The Matrix Revolution’ in year 2003. While the first flick could collect at the box office 26 million dollar, the latter managed a decent sum of 24 million dollars from the box office.

目前，周三放片唯一能赢利的是'耶稣受难纪‘（2004），和 黑客帝国3。前者首日票房为2600万，后者为2400万。
真不知道sony这帮人怎么选的时间和宣传方式！！！ |
