Among other things he dispels three myths that convinced most people that Michael was a child molester.
1. The story that Jordan Chandler accused Michael of molesting him is a lie. Evan Chandler accused Michael of molesting Jordan and Jordan denied it for months.
2. The second myth is that Jordan accurately described Michael's genitals. This is false because Jordan said Michael was circumcised but he was uncircumcised. When Michael had the full body search, the investigators discovered that Michael was not circumcised. That means Jordan changed his story and got the description wrong. But the media persists in spreading the lie that Jordan accurately described Michael's genitals.
3. The other myth is that Michael bought his way out of trial by settling. He was never going to trial anyway. He was under investigation for half of year before settlement and the police didn't have enough to arrest him or have a trial. Tom Sneddon went to three separate grand juries and none of them would allow him to bring charges against Michael because of a lack of evidence.
Charles didn't mention it but Michael's insurance company settled.
He describes the parallels between Michael's persecution by the media and the Jack Johnson's experience.
He talks the trial and how the media refused to give accurate descriptions of what was happening in the court room. But he discusses so many other things and it's worth a listen. |
