I am NOT a fan of Michael Jackson. I simply like a lot of his songs, especially 'Heal the world' and 'We are the world' (the former is on the CD I play in the car) . And more importantly through his music I believe he is a genuine person, a man with love and heart who did good for the world. So I was deeply saddened to wake up about 7am that morning in Sydney, Australia and saw that all 3 major channels were talking about MJ being admitted to hospital and there were 'unconfirmed reports that he had passed away'!. So shocked and sad I was, simply sat in bed and watched with tears till 10.30, then I had to go to work. MJ's songs reached out to so many people in the world. To people like myself who did not speak much English back in the early 80's, (having arrived in a new country as a vietnamese boat refugee at age 11). Through upbringing, war, refugee camps - I was a lonely child even though I had 9 brothers and sisters. I didn't have a 'childhood' - to this date in my 40's I am still a child at heart in many ways. This 'child' loves cartoons, some soft toys (that I never had when young), Wii games....... so it's NO strange thing that MJ liked his wonders at Neverland. Unless one's had this 'childhood' experience it's hard to understand why a grown adult would like such. This martin guy does sound two-faced and shameless! The saying in chinese is 'he's a cat that is crying over a dead mouse'! Fake tears are for fake people. For that we can thank him (yes truly). By his actions he has taught us and our children "NOT TO MAKE GAINS AT THE EXPENSE OF OTHER'S SUFFERING', just to name a few! MJ - your music shall live forever, and the kindness instilled in your songs.

I saw the documentary by Martin Bashir for the first time today and his comment on ABC news after MJ's memorial service. I feel so sad to admit that media bias and prejudice can kill people. I don't really want to the interview as "documentary". I don't really understand what was the purpose of the interview for such a long time effort. Obviously I can see how much Martin get an attention from the interview and got popular and hired by "ABC". It's not about justice nor truth. It seems to be a torture and he is too judgmental and went too far. He pretends to understand Michael but he does not understand him at all when he commented about future of Michael's kids after the memorial service. I feel so sorry that he could not try to save or even understand him but made such a big mistake with his insolence.

Martin Bashir , you had the opportunity to do something positive with your interview with Michael in 2003 but you chose to take the opposite route - you lied to Michael and twisted his words for your own benefit . Now you make this statement after his death , you should be ashamed ! You will never be taken seriously again. If it were up to me you would be placed in solitary confinement and be forced to listen to Michael's music and watch your interview with him incessantly until your dying day.

M. Bashir, your lack of sensitivity, your lack of honesty, your unrelenting willingness to know MJ better than himself, your judgemental questions have made your interview a pain for MJ. You were facing someone whose human quality you may never even start to fathom. Even on judgement day. I feel so sorry for you, but even more for all of those who have to put up with your blatantly poor soul everyday.

Martin Bashir, what makes you think you can still mention Michael's name? Michael opened his heart to you and you were so despicable to twist the story and betray him. Yes you have gained another peak in your career using MJ, but you know what? You will never ever live in peace during the rest of your life, I live in London, and if I have a chance to see you, I will kiss your #### really hard, billions of Michael's fans will not let you live a happy life. Even after you are dead, your name, shameful MARTIN BASHIR will be remembered by the whole world, what a jerk are you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a journalist with over 30 years experience -- I must say I agree with most of the comments here. I was appalled when Bashir did the initial report -- but now that Michael has passed, I'm flabbergasted that ABC not only hired this cheeseball -- but allowed him to go on the air expressing his alleged heartfelt sympathy. Does ABC think its audience is really that stupid? And forgetful? Unfortunately, Americans are programmed to accept anything spoken in an upper crust British accent as truth. I'm just hoping Bashir will do a public confession one day. I think it would go a long way to dispell the ugly myth about Michael Jackson, which too many people, sadly, still believe.

Martin Bashir: Looking at your "pretending sad" face makes my vomit! Stop showing your face and mentioning the name of the person who just died and had been hurt by you so much! Although I knew you were a bad journalist when I watched your documentary "Living with Micheal Jackson", it still surprised me so much how shameless you can be to talk about MJ after his death and pretended to praise him. Shut up already! I wish it was forever. We do not want to hear your reports since I am sure how true they can be based on you did before to MJ.

Martin Bashir, please shut your mouth up! You are a disgrace to dare to mention Micheal Jackson's name here! "Reflecting on his life"? How dare you do this on TV right now? Are you a human being? Do you know the word "BETRAYAL" and the word "SHAME" any more? Do not show your face any more! And please shut your mouth and do not try to pretend any more!!!

Mr. Bashier you should undoubtedly be ashamed. You single handedly ruined Michael Jackson’s life, with your so called documentary. You caused things to spiral out of control. And now in the wake of his p###ing you have the audacity to get on television and say that he did nothing criminal. That sure wasn’t your take on it when the story first aired. I wonder how a man like you can lay his head down on a pillow at night and sleep. tj

I don't know how ABC can hire unprofessional people to work for them, when there are greater journalists out there such as Geraldo Rivera . We want to see people who are professional and with good ethics in this industry. Tired of all the journalist who are very judgmental and exploit celebrities for their own benefit like Martin Bashir . It's disgusting!

I am disgusted that ABC allows Martin Bashir report on anything to do with Michael Jackson or his death after he interrogated him in 2003 veiled as an interview in the “alleged” documentary called Living with Michael Jackson. I don’t know as though I could call his work there and actual documentary….Mr. Bashir totally used and abused his position as a journalist in his work during that time....he used his position to benefit himself and further sensationalize a person whom the world completely misunderstood…He worked furiously to try and sway the supporting public into thinking he was reporting factual information with his anecdotal add in’s on how HE felt things were disturbing and re-questioned Michael to the point of harassment and interrogation. It didn’t fit into the witch hunt Mr. Bashir was on, so lets make one was his approach which was pretty obvious …If Mr. Bashir thought he was helping anyone by doing his interview HE IS SERIOUSLY DELUTED.... Now here we are present day and the media is loving Michael once more…and he is gone…and NOW the media wants to look for the good in Michael....too bad they couldn't see him that way while alive...all they could do is attack him and his lifestyle however unorthodox or unusual anyone thought it was… I think it is absolutely disgusting and disrespectful to Michael his family and his children to have MARTIN BASHIR report anything about Michael positive or negative at this point....We never know what it is like to walk in another mans shoes...
