Michael Jackson and his dad have something in common this Father's Day. They've both been named to Blender magazine's list of the worst rock dads.
Joe Jackson was cited for his insistence that his kids get up at four a.m. because he did, which left plenty of time for rehearsals -- and beatings.
Michael Jackson was noted for dangling his baby over a balcony, naming both his sons Prince, and making all his kids wear masks and scarves in public.
Other bad dads include Murry Wilson, father of the Beach Boys; Courtney Love's dad, Hank Harrison; and John Phillips of The Mamas and The Papas.
The "worst rock dad ever" award goes to Marvin Gay, Sr., who shot his own son to death. |
