有时候，错版的唱片封套往往能透露出一些有意思的信息。就拿J5在Motown的首张专辑《Diana Ross Presents The Jackson 5》来说，一位 J5 的收藏者就珍藏了两个印错歌名的版本。
第一个是给电台DJ播放的宣传用唱片，唱片Side One的最后一首歌名本应是“You've Changed”，却被误写成了“You've Changed Me”。
“You've Changed”原是1967年J5在钢城唱片录制的一首歌，这首歌曾作为“Big Boy”单曲的B面歌曲由钢城发行过（唱片编号：Steeltown 688）。1969年，Motown重新录制了它的新版本放在J5首张专辑中。Motown的工作人员在写歌名时，一定是把“You’ve Changed”和一首名叫“You've Changed Me”的歌给弄混了（ “You've Changed Me”曾由Motown明星Smokey Robinson翻唱过，其原唱是Brenda Holloway。）毕竟J5这张处女作专辑中的大部分歌曲都是翻唱Motown的经典歌曲嘛，所以弄错了也情有可原。
“You've Changed”这首歌所描述的，是对一个多年未见、已然丑小鸭变天鹅的姑娘暗生情愫的故事。其中有些歌词还相当惹火呢。歌中唱道：
“I remember when you was a little girl 记得当年你还是小丫头
I say you never, ever, ever, wore curls 我说你从来都不烫卷毛头
You wore nothing but an ole shaggy shaggy dress 你总是穿一件毛茸茸的旧衣服
I say you never ever tried to look your best 从不尝试展露最美的自己
……
Now when I look at you 而如今当我看着你
All my love come running through 所有的爱意涌上心头
You've changed & it's shown yeah 你变了是的你真的变了
My love for you has grown yes it did now 我的爱也随之越来越浓

而“You’ve Changed Me”则是描述一个女人为爱而改变。没找到这里提到的这首歌两个版本的音频，反正也不是我们讨论的重点，不贴也罢。
除此以外，还有一张更加罕有、也更有意思的错版唱片封套，Side Two的最后一首歌印的是“Reach Out (I'll Be There)”，而不是“Born to Love You”。
“Reach Out (I'll Be There)”这首歌最早由Motown艺人“四顶尖演唱组（Four Tops）”在1966年录制，曾是“R&B排行榜”蝉联两周的冠军歌曲。3年后，Bobby Taylor在五兄弟进入Motown的初期录制了J5的版本，结果这个翻唱版本竟然在Motown曲库里一躺就是26年，直至1995年才得见天日在《Soulsation》专辑的第四碟中发行出来！这张不同版本的唱片封套证明，Motown曾打算在J5的首张专辑中发行歌曲“Reach Out (I'll Be There)”，但却因某种原因在最后一分钟将它换掉了。

虽然在曲调、节奏上均有很大差异，但“Reach Out (I'll Be There)”的内容与1970年J5的冠军单曲“I'll Be There”却异曲同工，都是在说“悲伤失意时，别忘了，我会一直为你在守候”，歌词也有相似之处，例如“I'll be there to love and comfort you”等等。其实Berry Gordy写作“I'll Be There”时就是借鉴了“Reach Out (I'll Be There)”的题材和意境。甚至在“I'll Be There”的演唱中，他还要求Michael在歌曲中加入了与“四顶尖”主唱Levi Stubbs表演“Reach Out (I'll Be There)”时一模一样的念白：“Just look over your shoulders, honey”。
【再来一点囧囧有神的小番外】：不论每张唱片封套的印刷内容上有什么差别，总有一样是不变的，那就是这张专辑封套上Jermaine的名字永远被误拼成“Germaine”。从来没有写对过，就连1981年该专辑重新发行时仍然被误拼作“Germaine”。想想看，那时候他已经是Berry Gordy的女婿了，他们早该知道Jermaine名字的正确拼写了呀！
