主持人经常问的一句话就是，你会让你的孩子和MJ睡在一个床上吗？
大多数嘉宾都会很尴尬回答这个问题。
我的回答是，如果是MJ, 没问题。如果是其他任何我不了解的男人，no way.

谢谢楼主的分析，别说是美国人，就看中国人，当不了解MJ时，光听传言和报纸、网站上的照片、文字，就很容易触到底线，就谈我周围的人吧，一个是觉得怪异，听人说时还有点怀疑的话，看了报纸、网站上的照片就会坚信不疑，不管是哪个方面，因为MJ的穿着、表演等各个方面都和普通的艺人不一样，如果是麦当娜，人们会恶毒地想，她打的是性招牌，但MJ不是，他的怪可能会带给人一种找不出出处的怪异，就越发让人不理解，产生一种对未知的不信任，因此当媒体说他这样那样时，人们便会毫无拒绝之心地接受了，因为他们觉得这样怪诞的事发生在这个人身上，是正常的！
除了这一点，与外国人不同的是，大多数中国人并不认为MJ的歌好听，就算拿YANA给他们听，他们也会直接摇头说不喜欢，我的一位好朋友，基于我对她的理解，她的音乐欣赏水平还是很不错的，她也觉得MJ某几首慢歌不错，但她也会问我：到底MJ的歌哪里好？是的，她不理解为何好到好以卖到7。5亿去。更多的则是觉得MJ跳舞好，唱歌不行，有的甚至直接认为是帝国主义的文化侵略——他们是受到某些国内NC学者的影响了，最讽刺的是，MJ却是被帝国主义主流社会排斥的。对于大部分中国人来说，MJ可能更接近于一个被商业力量吹大的幻影，因为他们不明白他好在哪里。
至于美国社会对于和男孩分享一张床的事，我不明白让美国人对此如此警惕的历史渊源在何处，中国人就算身边发生了这样的事，貌似也麻木得很（说实话，我觉得这点很欠揍），有个和我一起喜欢上MJ的人到现在还说，不排除MJ当初真做了那样的事，做了也不会排斥MJ的，因为她把这个看做和同性恋相同的性质，貌似只是性向地不同（这个真的很欠揍了）。
楼主的第一条，意思是美国人觉得捐得多有什么，要自己亲自去做才是好的——是这个意思吗？

我身边的人也是，有一次去按摩，听到MJ的歌，那个按摩的人说，那个MJ像个鬼一样。 （TMD），整了1000多次容， 我一听就火了，问他从那里听说的， 他说你去网上查一查。  TMD， 气死我了。 我开始给他们扫盲。  。。。。 但是能看得出，他们还是不信，毕竟小报的消息已经先入为主了。  分特！！！

excuse me. LZ, you're basing your opinions on others' opinions.  this is the problem with OPINIONS. I appreciate it if you could take sometimes to learn more about the FACTS before giving your opinions about MJ and I think that should be the rule here.
have you read MICHAEL JACKSON CONSPIRACY?
have you read CHARLES THOMSON WRITE-UP ON THE REASON BEHIND THE MEDIA BIASE AGAINST HIM BASED ON HIS KNOWLEDGE OF BLACK HISTORY??
have you read all seen all MJ's interviews? The jesse jackson interviews? his speeches in oxford and harlem? no?

then your opinions are just your opinions. Your opinions are no different from those in the medias and people who don't know nuts about MJ.
I don't see how this forum benefits MJ's legacy other than serving as a platform for ppl to judge and bash him.

You tell elvis presley and the beatles' fans the one billion sales is Bullshit. Their fans would defend their ass off for them, even though they know very well it's BULLSHIT. Sometimes, they even make-up FACTS to deceit the public. The lady gaga being the 1st artist to have 1billion views when in fact it was MJ with that achievement? It's made-up by a lady gaga fan!!


For MJ, it's as if we shouldn't give him credits for anything or else we'd be seen as a delusional fans. It's ALWAYS THE CASE. Everything in the media is already biased against him. he needs his fans' support and understanding, not criticism and their redundant opinions. It's time to do something to fight against the media not fight among the fans for different opinions.

The media wanted to portray him as a paedophile and a drug addict in denial, and publics opinions are based on media's portrayal of him, we've already got so much crap from outside world. WHY do we have to defend him on his very own forums?  THIS IS A FIRST. why do we have to hear the baseless 'OPINIONS' about him again here?

对于lz提出的几点，我是部分同意的。最让我有感触的就是MI曾经说的那段“当他打破猫王记录，披头士记录.......而我只知道我只是黑人”看的我很心酸的。
但是任何事情都有两面性的。在MJ's relationship with young boys这个问题上，在这个地方的人都是喜欢MJ的人，但是同样的问题，“如果是其他人，你会认为同床这个问题，妥否”，大家的一致反应是：除了MJ，其他人NO WAY。在回答这个问题时没有过多的感性成分？但有个客观问题，对于遥远的MJ，我们和MJ之间也可以说为“陌生人”。而MJ的行为正好触及到一般人群的敏感神经，不管怎么说，问下不是MJ歌迷的人，这样同床的行为敏感不？
但我一直有个疑问就是在93事件后，MJ任然按自己的方式和小孩在一起，这样的做法我认为有利有弊。我相信他是清白的，和小孩之间是纯洁的，他也是绝对的正直。这种行为可以说明：我什么都没做过，我怕什么。我是清白的，现在任然和小孩在一起只能说明这一切是陷害。但另一方面让我认为MJ内心确实受伤了，那个时候只会想按自己的意愿生活，管媒体外界怎么说都行。但MJ就没想过还会有人用同样的方式对待他，毕竟一个人的名誉是很重要的。在任何事情上，不管产生什么样的后果，主因还是自己本人，外界的不认同，有恶意中伤，妒忌，陷害的机会，某种意义上是MJ自己给予的。MJ自己的行为也要占一半的责任的。美国社会不能接受或是容忍，是每个人的接受范围不同而已。为什么接受，我们就觉得是应该的，而不接受的那部分人就认为是愚蠢的啊~~
在说重点，如果MJ是white，那又是什么样的人生?又是什么样的结局？

I am collecting some data for MJ's charity activities. Thank Tara and Alex for providing me the links in Chinese and English, respectively.

But something critical is missing. Does anyone know anything about how much fund MJ initially put  in to the Heal the World Foundation?? I saw vague descriptions, for example, he announced to have his world tour to raise fund for it and later on in London announced the official launch of the Foundation. But nothing concrete came out of it. I know the Foundation participated in many charity activities in collaboration with other organizations. But I am more interested to know MJ's contribution to the Foundation. If you have a clue or know where I can find a clue, please let me know. Thanks.

PS: Should I post it as a thread to Q&A section??

    Dora, this is a thread to discuss OTHERS' opinions, common American people's opinions, in fact. If you feel that you see enough, you don't have to take another look here.

I haven't written my opinions yet. Where on earth can you tell my opinions base on others' opinions?? Besides, whose opinions are not based on others' opinions?? Unlike you, I do always keep my opinions to myself for the sake of peace :)

Please don't make too many assumptions here either. Not only you read the books you mentioned. The only difference might be that I not only read books positive about MJ but also read ones negative about him, even the books on the "forbidden" (or not-recommended) list of MJJCN. As I believe, listening to both sides of a story is critical before one chooses to believe what one should believe. I never force anyone to agree with my opinions, nor would I be forced by others. Please save yours to yourself or somebody else!!!
