Such a statement may come across as ambiguous; just like "I would cut my wrist before I'd ever hurt a child", as you say doesn't really mean anything unless there is a clear definition and understanding of what "hurting a child" is. Because as you said pedophiles do not see any wrong in whatever they're doing with kids. They actually believe that what they're doing is good, that it's beneficial to the child, that it's not a crime and should not be punishable.

他们并不是有罪推断，而是说MJ的反击不够有力。他应该明确表明他没有做那些事。而不是用"hurting a child”。因为这个定义很模糊。那些真正的娈童者他们认为自己的行为是爱儿童，而不是伤害儿童。MJ应该说，"我没有做过","我从来没有性侵犯过儿童“， ”我从来没有抚摸过他们的私处。"
