We love you, but...
From: Lillian

Dear Michael,
I am one of the lucky fans who were able to purchase tickets on Ticketmaster.
As the co-leader of Michael Jackson Taiwan Fan Club, I have to express the frustration on the behalf of fans in Taiwan and to address the poor consideration of technical issues.
So many of us are willing to fly around the globe for your concerts in London, even if it means that some of us have to risk their jobs by taking days off in this economy, even if it means that those who are already suffering from the economy are ready to give all it takes just to see your live performance.
So many of us have loved and supported you wholeheartedly through your glory and your hardship,
and we now want to show you our love in London.
However this dedication has been sabotaged by AEG and Ticketmaster's poor planning.
I was with many fans from Taiwan during the pre-sales and the general sale.
We all experienced significant technical difficulties, including the unfair, not user-friendly design of Ticketmaster website.
Here is what we experienced:
The ticket searching time was extremely long, which means the website was hardly capable to handle the overwhelming numbers of users.
Then, instead of allowing fans to run a broader search for tickets of any or multiple dates, each fan had to start by choosing only one concert date to search for tickets.
Without any prior warning of consequences, those who opened multiple browsers to search for tickets for multiple dates were told to close their browsers and start over after they waited for two hours of search.
That left them merely any chance to get a ticket.
Some of those who started with one date and one browser waited for one, two, even more hours of search, and then was told that there were no tickets available for that specific date.
Many fans were actually open and flexible for multiple dates, but they were unable to buy any ticket because of the rigid, poorly designed system and the slow search.
The same problem also reduced the chance of the fans getting good seats.
That also makes it impossible for our fan club to show your our support as an organized group because the fans who are lucky enough to go are divided into so many different shows.
Some people might argue that it is fair to distribute the tickets by luck this way.
This however is not any sort of lottery, and all ticket-buyers are not the same.
So many of your loving fans have devoted and dedicated so much for you.
Our feelings are deeply hurt that some ¨lucky" people who barely supported you could buy tickets (and even good seats) just "to have a good time" or to even sell them and rip your loving fans off for some unfair profit.
Your fans'love should be rewarded, not exploited.
I do not think that I have the place to suggest you any solution at this time,
because I believe whatever you do must have a thorough business plan.
I and many fans do hope that you and/or AEG can come up with some alternatives for all the sad, disappointed fans around the world who have been hurt during this process.
Please let your "final curtain show" be the wonderful memory of all your fans.
Love You Always,
Lillian Chen
