My opinions on the 邮件原文 posted on 7th floor
"he has a very nasty habit...His last best friend is the one who promises the most and as soon as someone comes along with a bigger promise, he has a new best friend. This is not a good way to develop long standing relationships."
That is my impression too. He made a lot of mistakes on choosing whom to work with. However, if we were in his shoes, it is very likely that we could not do better. I think that for a long time he realized there is no permanent friends or enemies in business. He never considered these people as "his best friend" in his personal life but rather a diplomatic saying. That is probably why he dumped them without a second thought. In my opinion, anybody, as long as he/she signs a business contract with him, would be categorized as a business partner but not a possible friend. Rare exceptions do exist but that would take decades to develop the mutual trust. In the end, in business, who came to MJ with MJ's best interests in heart rather than those of themselves? Even his own family members were taking advantage of him.
"Candidly, I really don’t believe he “loves” his fans to anywhere near the extent he professes in public announcements – he clearly realizes that his fans are his future meal ticket –period. But that is just a personal observation.)I wish you all the best with your future endeavors."
Cannot agree at all! I can undersand his frustration and sour about MJ in business. But on this issue he went too far! I have been watching hundreds, if not thousands, of video clips how he interacted with fans/strangers, many of which were recorded by random people on streets. I believe that he had been sincere to his fans all the time. As a sensitive and smart person as MJ, he knew all the time who stood by him and loved him without a return/request of any money! Whenever money is out of way, MJ became relaxed and loving again :)
Let's face the truth: MJ is not God or a saint. But he is not a demon either. He is just a complicated human being as everybody else but displayed his complexed personalities under his unique situation.
If you have watched the movie "Citizen Kane", you would understand what I am talking about! |
